Plan - Powertrain Care

Powertrain Care provides economical protection for repairs on major Powertrain components.   Deductible options on this plan are either $50 or $100 per repair visit. Over 300 components are covered!

Powertrain Care's coverage goes far beyond full mechanical coverage and includes:

  • First Day Car Rental
The Plan Provides a $30 First Day Car Rental Allowance if the vehicle is to be serviced for any mechanical or maintenance service. This service MUST be performed by an authorized Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep dealer.
  • $30 per day automobile rental allowance.
Provides you with a mode of transportation while your automobile is being repaired.
  • Personalized Plan Provisions & Identification Card
Easy access card that provides all important phone numbers, plan provisions, and allows you to be recognized nationwide, as having the best auto extended warranty on the market today.
  • Trip Interruption
Receive up to $1,000 for lodging, meals, and auto rental expense if; (1) the automobile is inoperable due to a failure covered by the extended service contract or the factory warranty and (2) the failure occurs more than 100 miles from home.
  • $100 Towing / Roadside Assistance
    • 24-hour "Sign-And-Go" Towing and Roadside Assistance, (up to $100 per occurrence).
    • Flat Tire Change, (with your good spare)
    • Battery Jump
    • Out-of-Gas fuel delivery, (maximum 5 gallons)
    • Lockout service, (i.e., keys locked in car or frozen lock)
    • Towing Assistance will be dispatched only for a mechanical disablement, which renders the automobile inoperative. Must call 1-800-521-2779 for this service.
  • Transfer Policy
A Daimler Chrysler Service Contract can make your automobile more valuable and easier to sell. Remaining Maximum Care coverage may be transferred to the second retail purchaser of the automobile at the time of vehicle sale, provided the remaining warranty is also transferred. A $50 plan transfer fee will be applied, (except in New Hampshire - None, Florida -$25).
When does my coverage begin and end?

On all New Vehicle DaimlerChrysler Service Contract/Extended Warrantys, your coverage starts at the original warranty start date of the vehicle and at zero miles (the date that the new vehicle was delivered to you or the original owner of the vehicle), not upon expiration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Expiration of your New Vehicle DaimlerChrysler Service Contract/Extended Warranty is based on a time and mileage factor. Actual expiration of the plan will take place when you reach either the time or mileage limit specified in your Plan Provisions.

For example, your vehicle's warranty start date is July 1, 2004 and you currently have 5,000 miles on your vehicle. You purchase a 5-year/60,000-mile Maximum Care plan on November 1, 2004. Your plan would be in effect starting on July 1, 2004 and will expire on July 1, 2009 or when your vehicle has a total of 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
